ONE YEAR FOUNDATION COURSE
SEM- I
BASICS OF FASHION
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the fashion industry, covering its history, key players, and various segments. Students will gain foundational knowledge in design, production, marketing, and sales within the fashion world.
FASHION ILLUSTRATION AND MODEL DRAWING
This course focuses on the basics of fashion illustration and model drawing techniques. Students will develop skills to illustrate various types of garments, fabrics, and accessories.
ELEMENTS OF TEXTILES AND EMBROIDERIES
This course offers a comprehensive understanding of textile design and embroidery, including fundamental concepts, techniques, and applications. Students will learn about different types of textiles, their characteristics, properties, and uses
GARMENT CONSTRUCTION AND DRAFTING -I
This course covers the fundamentals of garment construction and drafting techniques. Students will learn pattern-making principles and how to interpret and create pattern blocks.
SEM –II
FASHION ILLUSTRATION & ITS APPLICATION
The objective of this subject is to create a visual representation of a fashion concept or design.
TEXTILE STUDY APPLICABLE TO FASHION ART
In this course, students will explore various fibers, yarns, fabrics, and surface design techniques. They will learn how to manipulate and combine these elements to create different textures, patterns, and finishes.
FASHION DESIGN STUDIO
Through this course, students may learn how to create design sketches, select fabrics and materials, create patterns, construct prototypes, and refine their designs.
GARMENT CONSTRUCTION AND DRAFTING 2 – WOMEN WEAR
This course teaches advanced techniques in constructing and drafting women’s wear garments. Building on the basics covered in Garment Construction and Drafting I, students will focus on more complex garment designs and construction methods.
