TWO YEAR ADVANCE COURSE

SEM -III

FASHION AND APPAREL INDUSTRY –I

This course aims to develop students’ understanding of the fashion design process, from conceptualization to execution, emphasizing the application of design principles and techniques in the industry.

PATTERN MAKING AND GARMENT CONSTRUCTION FOR MEN

Students will learn advanced techniques in pattern making, draping, and grading. The course covers the creation and construction of men’s garments, including jackets, trousers, and shirts.

TEXTILES IN FASHION INDUSTRY –I

This course covers the basics of textiles, focusing on the characteristics, properties, and performance of various fibers, yarns, and fabrics. It also explores textile production processes such as spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, printing, and finishing.

 

STUDY OF APPAREL RETAIL INDUSTRY

This course aims to provide an understanding of the structure and evolution of the apparel retail industry. Students will learn about various retail distribution channels, including physical stores and online platforms

WORLD ART AND COSTUME APPRECIATION

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the evolution of costume design, the cultural significance of clothing, and the relationship between art and fashion.

SEM –IV

FASHION AND APPAREL INDUSTRY –II

This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the fashion and apparel industry. Students will learn about the industry’s structure, functions, and key players, as well as the various stages of the fashion lifecycle from design and production to marketing and retail. The course emphasizes translating creative ideas into market-ready products.

DESIGN STUDIO PRINT LINE

This course provides an in-depth understanding of the prêt-à-porter segment of the fashion industry. Students will develop their creativity, visual and design skills, and learn to translate ideas into tangible fashion products.

TEXTILES IN FASHION INDUSTRY –II

This course aims to deepen students’ understanding of textiles’ role in the fashion industry. It covers different types of fibers, yarns, and fabrics used in fashion and explores textile production and manufacturing processes.

STUDY OF APPAREL INDUSTRY (MARKETING)

This course equips students with knowledge and skills in market research, consumer behavior, branding, advertising, sales, and distribution in the apparel industry.

INDIAN HISTORY AND ART APPRECIATION

This course introduces students to major historical events and cultural movements in India and their influence on the country’s art and fashion.
